There’s been no shortage of chances for this market to fail.

April 21 gave us one of the hardest down days of the year, slicing the ES down to 5127.25. A flush that clean usually cracks the foundation — but this time, something different happened.

Since last Monday, every dip has been absorbed.

Every attempt to break support has been met with aggressive buyers stepping in — higher lows stacking up day after day.

It hasn't been perfect. But each dip has been a failed breakdown of previous support, a key opportunity. I wanted to be prepped to take advantage of this if it were to continue.

The tape has spoken: bulls have been building pressure, winning the most recent intraday battles.

Coming into Monday, April 28, we were trading right on top of the “4/2 Shelf” — a tangled area of former supply and resistance. Four green days in a row had brought us back to the doorstep.

Now the question wasn’t whether buyers were present — it was whether they still had the strength to step in on real weakness.

This wasn't a day for guesswork. It was a day for precision.

I started the day with a clear thought: lean into prepared levels, respect structure, and stay flexible if the market shifted under our feet.

It delivered — twice.

First came a perfect divergence into listed supply from Monday’s April 28 newsletter at 5575(S), setting up a short that moved cleanly through all three targets.

Then came the patience test — waiting for a deeper flush after a failed bounce — and the reward: a reclaim long at 5504 that ran straight back through stacked resistance.

Two trades, two directions.

But one thing was paramount — the preparation did most of the work for us.

Trade Review — April 28, 2025 - 2 Trades

Trade #1 — Short from 5575.5 - Result - T1/T2/T3 hit. T4 taken same as Trade #2

The first opportunity of the day came exactly where we prepared for it.
