Rotation Second, Patience Third
If you read the Gameplan I sent Sunday, I wrote this:
This is where positions get built. These are the opportunities where runners turn into several hundred points.
The job isn’t to know which one will do that. The job is to be ready when it happens.
We were ready.
Yesterday we got a parabolic move high on a failed breakdown of the 6608 level.
This morning… 120 points higher.
That move did everything it needed to. It trapped shorts, it cleaned out weak longs, and it reminded everyone what real momentum looks like.
One of the hardest things for a trader to do it wait…Yesterday was a perfect example of why. After the FBD triggered, the short squeeze ensued…
Impulse down, repair first, rotation second…
ES is the “Mother of Squeeze”
There’s no limit to how far and hard the squeeze goes. But as shorts get squeezed, we press higher, reclaim critical levels, and continue. I have no desire to step in it’s way. Rather, I prefer to let the runner run.
After a trend day… Now it’s time to slow down. This is the waiting part.
There’s no edge in predicting how far a squeeze can go after a collapse like Friday. There’s no value in fighting strength just because it feels high. The only thing that matters here is structure.
Ignore the headlines.
Ignore the noise.
Watch the tape.
Price is pressing through 6730 now.
Extended, sure — but structure’s still clean.
I don’t need to be early to add.
I need to be right when the next real opportunity sets up.
That comes when the market shows its hand. I’ll outline where those likely areas are below.
Those shelves will tell us if buyers are still in control or if this repair starts to fade.
Yesterday was rotation.
Today is about patience.
